Switching it up this week to discuss an earth beastie just in time for Metazoo's Earth Tower! This is a very interesting beastie card in the sense that it provides some protection for cards directly placed behind it while awake. This is a classic "defender" type utilization for this beastie. You would want to use this card not necessarily for the attack or power, but to help provide protection for valuable cards that have low life points in the arena.
Specifically speaking in terms of the earth tower format, I'm not sure that we will see much of this card in competitive play. Even though that it does have stoneskin when a stone is within eyesight for spell damage protection, I don't think that is enough utility to include it in an earth tower deck. If this beastie had more benefits related to terra modifiers that would improve either x3 attack damage and/or life points, I think it would have a better chance at being more effective in tower format.
In regular format, it's an interesting card as well, but I still think some better options exist in the game when assembling casual decks. Nonetheless, Stone Man could still make for some fun games with your friends and/or in an LGS so give him a try! I almost forgot to mention that Stone Man is part of Metazoo's Wild 7, which are a subset of chase cards within the set that are only printed in holo in Wilderness!
